I had trouble with the app working correctly! It wouldn’t let me clock back in after my break

The app is fairly easy to use and the communication between the practice and the service seems legit but I have not gotten paid yet. I got messages saying it was on its way and it has been 3 days. Also. The do not have an actual customer service #. It appears to b text only.

Bad temping agency! Unfortunately they have most shifts available. Be prepared for -ve surprises! It got worse.

I like that the app it got me a shift right away but I wish there were closer shifts in Distance, available to me that are for gp not only for ortho. I do not have much experience in that area. Also displaying shifts that don’t have to have an RDA license to work them. Possibly something that more pertains to the individual who set up the account to find the shifts more available to them. Defining more of their expertise.

Extremely disappointing experience with Toothio — I had a terrible first experience using Toothio and would not recommend relying on this platform for a shift without personally confirming everything with the dental office first. I accepted a dental assistant shift at a clinic in Green Bay and completed the required paperwork the night before. I even received an email confirming that I had completed it. The next morning, I drove about ONE HOUR to Green Bay for the shift. When I arrived, I was told that my paperwork was supposedly not completed. I was extremely confused because I had already completed it and had received confirmation. Then I was told that they did not need me there anyway. So after accepting a shift through Toothio, completing the paperwork, preparing for work, and driving an hour to the clinic, I had to turn around and drive another hour home without working. What made the situation even more frustrating was the lack of clear communication and the difficulty reaching an actual person who could immediately explain or resolve what was happening. When something goes wrong with a work assignment, a dental professional should be able to speak with someone quickly—not be left standing at a clinic wondering what happened. This experience wasted approximately two hours of my driving time, plus gas and the time I had reserved for the shift. My lesson from this experience: if you use a staffing app, I strongly recommend confirming directly with the dental office before driving a long distance for a shift and keeping screenshots/emails of every confirmation. After what happened to me, I personally would not accept another Toothio shift without direct confirmation from the office. This experience made me lose confidence in the platform completely.

Was good up until they had stuff to say — I had 2 shifts and they were too picky and expected to have me know everything they knew so they paused my account cuz they had a problem with me not knowing how to do temporary crowns or scanning and especially since I didn’t have the certifications for it cuz I came from California and this is Arizona. The manager of the app spoke with me and said if the offices complain about me again that they are gonna deactivate my account permanently. I couldn’t even ask a lot of questions either. Like cmon I’m trying my best and it’s still not good enough for any of u guys. I’m a hard worker in the field and I wasn’t lazy or on my phone. U guys should protect us instead of punishing us for permanently deactivating our accounts like seriously we’re not robots or ai. I’m a human being who just wants to do things the right way.

Missing shifts — Keeps logging me off so I end up missing shifts. Extremely annoying.

Low pay — I set my hourly amount and I get notifications for shifts that are $8 less per hour than my minimum. No one on this app pays my rate, but thankfully I get plenty of temp jobs at my rate on a local dental staffing app. I was also approached by a Toothio recruiter and when I told them I’m not interested in a permanent position with a dental office due to having to be a caregiver for my Mom at the moment, they still sent my info to a dental office which reached out to me. I had to tell them sorry Toothio sent over my info when I said no.
